Mockery
Beneath an infinite sea of stars, under the glow of 3 crescent moons
A velvet cloak flows an obsidian black on this ritual night
A Reaver’s blade gleams in moonlit clamor
Precision cuts as the bell toll hammers
(Sacrifice)
A surgeon’s hand that never stutters
Blood roils down a steaming gutter
(Sacrifice!)
Of all the time that I’ve held my place
Beneath this mask hides my doubt and distaste
(SACRIFICE!!)
Inform the Archons the deed is done
The blood’s been spilled for the holy one
(SACRIFICE!!!)
Ever faithful
Doubt seeds
Ancient tomes and
Conspiracies
Within hidden
Libraries
Lost words tell of
A divine fallacy
Hands tremble
Should I even proceed?
Dangerous knowledge,
Yet answers I need
By candle light tomes are unsealed
Eyes wide with horror, truth revealed
Veins freeze with terror, god unveiled
A life spent in service to?
A life spent in service to?!
A LIFE SPENT IN SERVICE TO?!
Saint Vaerus the Immaculate
Descends into the forbidden gore flecked aqueducts
Deep beneath the surface of Kalremia
Wherein dwells strange crawling things
Lurking in the depths of dead lands
Scoured and turned black as drakenash
Through the Qanats of Khael Morda
Lit dimly only by phosphorescent aragonite
Until he beheld the waking horror of the truth,
A writhing mass of corrupted divine flesh!
I follow the aqueducts to a sick subterranean source
Before my eyes lies a vast protoplasmic tendril-filled abyss
What I once thought was made of infinity holds physical form
What I once thought as divinity, I hold in sickening scorn

Awaken

Awaken
Spoken in dreams of hypnotic fire
Oneiromantic dark desire
All of time is nailed upon its wheel
The souls of man cleaved beneath its heel
Twisted bodies and atrophied flesh
Legions commanded and Reavers unblessed
Hands bend cruel sorcery from hidden depths
Wyverns fly ancient banners of undeath
Armed with blades forged from cosmic metal,
The reavers crept through the night like a silent plague…
Vampirized zealots from chosen bloodlines,
The army known as The Hallowed Legion descends upon the innocents of Khag
Deep within the castle walls and fortress spires
Sinister plots drift from Night Shadow Keep
Within the mountain ruins, an army hungers
Like lambs to the slaughter the city of Khag sleeps…
Strigoic bloodlust descending from the mountain’s reach
Screams of terror distort as vocal cords are torn out
A noble disgust awaits amongst the foul carnage
Seething hatred as Vaerus plans his cruel revenge
The people of Khag painted an orgy of blood
Heinous atrocities; the heretical son
The crimson fist of the former High Lord Vaerus
Cruelly ripped out hearts, caved in heads, torn spinal cords
What the Archons expected from the taking of Khag
Was fueling the Reavers with innocent blood
What they never could have ever expected
Was paying for their crimes against an army of one

Bestow

|
|||
Bestow
Iron wrought doors creak, bend, and shatter
Crimson gore strewn across his armor
The reek of his body, bathed in blood
For the first time the Archons felt fear
Up the spiraling keep, Lord Vaerus makes his way…
High ranking chitin monstrosities
Vampyr crustacean lobotomies
Dodged pinchers, shattered invertebrates
Bodies torn, left dead, cold and innate
Drift in a sea of blue blood
Exoskeletal torn guts
Remnants of generals burned away
Black sorcery incinerates
“You, the keepers of a foul god!
You, who crawl before a physical form!
You, the scum who leeched upon this earth!
Now bow down to me and bend like fetid worms!”
“Swear fealty unto me, fools who once named me High Lord!”
And as the Archons bent way and bowed down, Vaerus cleaved their necks, ate their brains, and became a god incarnate on the earth…

Manifest

“Clever Saint… you’ve come so far just to fail… your ambition stumbles over the reek of your ego…very interesting… test your might, Lord Vaerus!”
Hideous monstrosity
False divinity made flesh
The antithesis of his faith
A horrid blasphemy
For the former devotee
And the pinnacle of his rage
At last the High Lord Saint Vaerus comes face to face with his great enemy, the god which should not be, the insult made flesh of The Demiurge. His passion ablaze, his eyes seeing red, and oblivious to the fact that he stands no chance…
Studded gauntlets razored
Blood-seasoned blades prepared
Expertise in tomes of black sorcery, but unknowingly ensnared
“Holy!
Master!
Behold its form!
Foul!
Intruder!
Cleave onto scorn!”
Dodging tendrils covered in ichorous gore
Carving gauntlets into fleshy amorphous form
Forbidden black lighting issues from my hands
Melting spewed forth acidity from hidden glands
In my fervor I could not anticipate
With my ancient arts I could not incinerate
With my swords drawn I could not eviscerate
Crumpled, bleeding, death is my eternal fate!

Outro: The Hierophant
“As expected, it was not a lack of ability that defeated The High Lord Saint Vaerus The Immaculate. No, indeed it was the pure audacity of his ego that struck The High Lord Vaerus down. It would have been simple enough to vampirize the common folk, to march a grand army of his little Reavers against the omniscient demiurge. For all his stature and self importance, the poor fool did not even question the sheer irony of his doing, that to consume his former masters, the Archons, he became that which he hated the most, the antithesis of his factitious faith: a demigod of physical form. His blind rage at his false status and his deception at the hands of his masters led him to be the very thing he hated most and he not once stopped to con-… ah but what is this? You, the listener who cannot see, a masked ethereal shape has taken the crumpled form of The High Lord Saint Lord Vaerus and disappeared in an eye’s blink… my oh my… what on the surface of Kalremia am I to do with these bastard brothers of mine…”

Vexys: The Ghost in the Machine (Demo)
Under a glimmering alien crystalline chandelier,
A vastness surrounds my cold, centered slab of awaken,
Grey and crimson glow fills the ornamental arching chambers
It seems without function, this unearthly gothic cathedral
The carvings depicts a language I cannot decipher,
Hung tapestries depict histories beyond my knowledge
Unknown wars and forgotten deeds,
And somehow men who look like me
These woven men wear masks of mine…
The men wear masks of mine…
Impossibly tall tracery ornately adorns complex facades
Colonettes join to form surreal rib vaults between miles of lancet archways
Marbled Corinthian columns seem to breathe and glisten with sweat
Flying buttresses rise and fall outside of the craft, adjusting to predetermined needs
Mechanical beasts perform duties beyond my understanding
Plethorically colored lantern lights hide beneath chromed panels
Despite my overwhelming awe, I cannot purge these thoughts of
other men who wear masks just like mine
These infinite corridors,
these haunting colored lights,
my vision holds the architecture
of a land that I cannot place
A function that I cannot place!
A place beyond all space!
“A porthole opens below me, a window widens before my eyes
Lights flash of some evil spectral automation
The vast depths of an eternal night spread before me
As a lone sphere of life shrinks further and further away!”
“Gods forgive me I am swallowed by the night!
Gods help me, I am lost amongst the night!”
